Courtney created this in preschool this week and for whatever reason, I think it was her choice of colors, I held onto it and wanted to add it to her art collection. It was simple yet the colors blended so nicely...
Breanna had her science fair this week and learned that Great Northern Beans, Lima Beans, Kidney Beans and Black Eyed Peas have diverse growing habits, it was Open House for both the kiddos and I cannot say enough nice things about Breanna and Ryan's teachers. Ryan came home with a huge portfolio stuffed full of work he had done throughout the year with pictures of him each month. Breanna came home with wonderful art projects and her writing composition folder. I cannot believe how fast my little ones are growing up. I will have a fourth grader next year! Augh! AND Courtney starts Kindergarten. Where does the time go?

We had our Landsharks end of season party today at the base pool and had so much fun. I think Kevin and I have found our niche in sports together...

For Memorial Day, we are hangin' out here. Going anywhere along with the millions of people living in California just does not sound all that thrilling. We tried on a weekend once and you would have thought Tom Cruise was at the same place we were there were so many people. Welcome to LA!

And now from your PTA President...Just a reminder to keep saving all of your Box Tops for Education, Campbells labels and Tyson A+ labels over the summer. They really help out your schools and thank you Grandma Dee for sending them to us!

The answer to the riddle

He was at the Marshall Islands--more specifically Kwajaleian Atoll. The island is a mile and a half wide with a golf course literally right on the coast!

1. I love listening to my children breathe at night. I love to watch them sleep and often wonder what they are dreaming about...

2. I love the flowers that they pick for me. It reminds me of the Primary song...I often go walking, in meadows of flowers...

3. I love being able to teach them to play the piano. I am so grateful to have been given this talent to share with them.

4. I love being a kid again at Disneyland with my children. We're still waiting on Disney's decision to let us move in to Sleeping Beauty's castle...

5. I still remember holding each of them after they were born and the sheer miracle of what just happened. I loved their newness, innocence and utter dependency.

6. I love watching them grow and mature into beautiful individuals. I love learning their likes, dislikes, sorrows, joys and anticipations.

7. I love listening to their laughter. It is infectious and I hope to always be able to remember that sound...

8. I often wonder how some women are given the gift of motherhood while others are not. It truly is a gift and I hope I can always live my life to demonstrate my gratitude.

9. I always want to live close to my children and continue to build memories with them throughout their adult life. I have very fond memories of my grandparents--ones that can never be replaced and I hope to be able to share that with my grandchildren.

10. I often want to stop time and just cherish THIS MOMENT with my children. I hope they always stop to smell the roses and look at the beauty that surronds them.

11. I hope they will always know that everything I have done in my life is to try and make theirs as comfortable, challenging and exceptional as I can. I want them to be outstanding adults and to love the Lord. I want them to honor their parents as well as their grandparents. I want them to cherish the Earth and to realize what a fragile planet we live on. I want them to know that service to others is when you will find yourself. I want them to find the dream of patriotism and remember that our nation is still united under one supreme being. I want them to remember how much I love each of them and that I will always be their mom.

Believe it or not

The ants did not touch the sugar free candy. I had two come and check it out about 1/2 hour after I sucked on the hard candy but it remains ant-free today! I guess they only like the real stuff. What does this tell us about artifical sweetners is the next question...
